Toronto Metropolitan University’s (TMU) women’s and men’s volleyball teams hosted the Waterloo Warriors at the Mattamy Athletic Centre (MAC) for the school’s winter homecoming on Jan. 23. It was the school’s first-ever volleyball homecoming, and the women’s game saw a slightly lower turnout than the men’s, but both games had great energy from the crowd. The women’s team were beaten three sets to one, but the Bold support did not waver for the men’s game. The crowd motivated the men’s team to defeat Waterloo 3-2, including a marathon 33-31 decisive 4th period win, which had the MAC rocking. This marked their first win of the regular season after dropping their first four games. Both teams are headed to the University of Guelph for a doubleheader this Friday and Saturday.
